billy payneMain Stage - Wednesday, August 14 at 9:30 p.m.

Billy Payne

Performing and recording with Waylon Jennings' former band The Waylors now known as Waymore's Outlaws has been a big step in the right direction for Payne. His honky-tonk style of singing and performing fit like a glove because of the music Billy listened to growing up. When these men take the stage there is an incredible magic that takes place. Men whom are Payne's heroes and Payne's respect for them shows. You can tell by listening to songs from the cd "Country Till I Die" is definitely a true statement and perfect for the title of Billy Payne's project. Payne's "Spirit of an Outlaw" cd songs co-written by Payne and produced by Jerry Bridges. Billy is managed by Bridges as well. Payne's cd's "Country Till I Die" and "Spirit Of An Outlaw" has now received excellent reviews from Canada and the United Kingdom. Payne’s brand new cd ”Genuine Leather” Country music at it's best!! Recorded with other members of the Waylors. Carter Robertson, Jeff Hale, Jerry "Jigger" Bridges and Reggie Young of (The Highwaymen band and Waymore's Blues Band) and from Leon Russell, piano man Kevin Madill. Bridges is in the producer seat along with Nashville A-Z artist engineer, the one and only Billy Sherrill. The "Genuine Leather" cd has received outstanding reviews in the U.K. in Maverick magazine and Canada “Country Music News” The voice of Country.
